New McAuliffe Branch Library Groundbreaking Draws Big Crowd of Supporters

Despite rain from the tail end of a nor’easter, nearly 100 supporters of the Framingham Public Library Foundation gathered at 746 Water Street in Nobscot on October 23 for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new McAuliffe branch library.

Below, selectmen Cheryl Tully Stoll and Mike Bower, Mark Bristol, Christa McAuliffe’s nephew, her sister Lisa Bristol, her brother, Christopher Corrigan, and town manager Bob Halpin, do the honors of breaking ground, while a capacity crowd looks on appreciatively.
