The Framingham Public Library Foundation is offering its supporters an opportunity to literally help pave the way to the new McAuliffe Branch Library on Water Street in Nobscot.

The Foundation recently kicked off its Buy A Brick campaign, which allows library supporters to purchase brick pavers laser-engraved with a message of their choice, that will be used in the walkways leading to the new library branch, which is scheduled to open late in 2015.

4”x8” bricks are $100, and can contain three lines of up to twenty characters of text per line, while 8”x8” bricks are $250 and can contain five lines of up to twenty characters of text per line.

These personally-engraved bricks not only are a creative and permanent way to show support for the project to build the new branch library, they can also serve to:

  • Memorialize a loved one
  • Celebrate someone special: spouse, children, grandparents, grandchildren, parents, pets
  • Honor friends, teachers, colleagues
  • Commemorate an anniversary, birthday, or other special occasion
  • Inspire someone with an uplifting message for the future

Bricks can be purchased with a credit card online at http://brick.fplf.org. They can also be purchased by check by printing out and mailing the order form available for download from the web site or at both the existing McAuliffe Branch Library on Nicholas Road in Saxonville and the Main Library downtown on Lexington Street.

The Framingham Public Library Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization, and brick purchases are tax deductible as a charitable contribution.
