The Framingham Public Library Foundation’s 2024 fundraising goal is for a Third Space project for the Main Library. A Third Space is defined as a place outside of home and work where people gather, build relationships, and exchange ideas.

Framingham Public Library’s Third Space can help patrons find connection with others. To do that, we’ll have friendly staff, engaging displays, and comfortable seating. Browse, sit, and stay. It’s that simple. Based on what we know patrons love about the McAuliffe Branch, the Main Library welcome center will feature:

  • A central “living room” area
  • Booth seating at our windows
  • Plug-in furniture for devices
  • A new periodicals and café area

With your help, the FPL Third Space will become an ideal welcome center, bringing comfort, connection, and community to Framingham.

Your donations make these projects become reality.
