Award-winning Framingham brewery Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers is teaming up once again with the Framingham Public Library Foundation.
On Thursday, December 1 from 7 to 9 p.m., co-owner and head brewer Jack Hendler will host a guided tasting of six Jack’s Abby beers and a private tour of the 100 Clinton Street brewery. The event is to help the foundation raise money to create an endowment fund for library improvement projects. Beer hall menu favorites, including wood-fired pizza, chicken wings, and charcuterie (meat and cheese platters) will also be served to attendees.
Tickets are $50 and are available beginning November 9 at Framingham’s main library at 49 Lexington Street, and the McAuliffe branch library at 746 Water Street. This event is limited to 60 people only, and based on previous sold out fundraisers the library foundation has partnered with Jack’s Abby on, early ticket purchases are strongly recommended. A gift basket of Jack’s Abby merchandise will also be raffled off to one lucky ticket holder.
Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers was opened in Framingham in 2011 by brothers Eric, Jack, and Sam Hendler and has rapidly grown and won acclaim for both its beers and community involvement. After several expansions, the brewery moved to its current location last year, which includes a full-service beer hall-style restaurant. They recently announced plans to also open Springdale Barrel Room, a new taproom adjacent to the existing facility that will offer their own line of barrel-aged ales.
